Give It Swap It Rules

We try to have the minimum of absolute rules, as the aim of this site is to be a community rather than feel like a prison. But there are a few rules which have to be made and obeyed, both for the sake of the users of the site and the operators. So here are our unbreakable commandments:

1. Everything offered on this site, or in response to an advert on this site, must be completely free. No money must change hands at all, ever. This includes delivery costs - you are NOT allowed to charge for, or offer, postage and packing or shipping costs.

2. You must not post adverts for prohibited items, or offer prohibited items in response to a "Swap It" advert. Currently, the following types of items are prohibited under all circumstances:
   • Food and drink, of any type
   • Drugs, whether legal or illegal
   • Tobacco products
   • Any kind of weaponry, including guns, knives and associated equipment whether functional or otherwise
   • Pornography of any type
   • Anything at all where you are not the legal owner and/or do not have the right to dispose of the item
   Also, some items are restricted, as follows:
   • Software, audio and video products (including CDs, DVDs, etc) must be on the original media and complete with all the packaging in which it was originally obtained - no copies or unpackaged discs
   • Clothing must be CLEAN and wearable

3. No spam, no personal abuse in the forum.

4. Be excellent to each other. Politeness costs nothing, and may gain you more than you think.
